If you love doing things in the great outdoors, then the Snowies is your ideal holiday destination. The vast area provides opportunity for many activities. If you love snow adventures then there is great Alpine adventure just waiting for you. Did you know that during winter you can still try your hand at fishing, horse riding, quad biking, walking or bike riding? Not every activity depends on snow. Truly there is an activity to suit just about everyone in every season - from the most extreme adventure to the most serene outing on offer.

The spectacular peaks, snow covered mountains, clear mountain streams and cool, crisp air of Australia's high country provides a brilliant backdrop for your holiday's outdoor activities. Enjoy outdoor adventures during the day and curl up in front of a fire at night.  

Don't be fooled thinking that all the activities are located in the National Parks. Many of our townships have nature reserves, historic walks and cycling trails well used by the locals.

Whatever your idea of the outdoors is - horseriding, quad biking, snow shoe tours, hiking through rugged terrain or charging down the slopes on a mountain bike, you will leave refreshed and itching to come back!
