View the mountains from a different angle and hit the water! When the snow melts, white water rafting comes alive! The rivers of the Snowy Mountains pass through some of the most remote and beautiful areas of Kosciuszko National Park. Visitors can take guided rafting trips on the upper Murray River, or guided canoeing trips through the deep gorge country of the lower Snowy River.
If that's too energetic for you sit back in a canoe and just enjoy the scenery along the riverbanks or lakes edge. Paddling a canoe or paddle boat is an ideal family activity.
Lake Jindabyne and Lake Eucumbene are great spots for canoeing and all water sports, including sailing, water skiing, wake boarding and wind surfing. The Australian Waterskiing Championships are held on Lake Jindabyne for an exciting spectator experience.
