Perisher Valley, Guthega, Bluecow and Smiggin Holes form the Perisher Ski Resort. The Perisher Village is located 1680m above sea level with the resort’s highest ski lifted point at 2034m.
General amenities at Perisher in winter include accommodation, snowboard and ski hire, ski schools, ski patrols, snowmaking, lockers and ski storage. Shops, eating facilities, a supermarket, banking facilities, post office, childcare, police and a medical centre are available (many of these services only operate during the winter season). The car park at Perisher is for day only parking during winter. Free long-term parking is available at Bullocks Flat Skitube terminal and at Sawpit Creek on the Kosciuszko Road.
The four resorts areas of Perisher are connected by the Skitube, ski trails and chairlifts. Altogether it has a total of more than 45 lifts, a downhill skiable area of over 1250 hectares and 104km of cross country trails.
In summer the majority of Perisher Valley’s facilities are closed. Nevertheless the area is still a popular destination for bushwalkers, mountain bikers, cyclists and those after a spectacular view!
