The Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre in Cooma is a state of the art visitor facility show casing the amazing story of the Snowy Mountains Scheme right through from the early construction days to the role the Scheme plays today in supplying vital electricity for south-eastern Australia and managing water releases for inland irrigation areas.
The centre houses an exhibition hall that includes photographic collection, models, exhibits and interactive displays. A series of films are available for viewing and there is a coffee shop.
A series of educational programs and resource tools are available for school visits.
Open 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday and 9am – 2pm Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.
